Hitched or Ditched?

As I sit here watching “Hitched or Ditched” I can’t help but wonder what on earth has television gone to? Whatever happened to the sanctity of marriage?

So the objective of the show is to give couples an invitation to their own wedding. From the point of invitation they have a week to tell their families and friends about the wedding and come to a decision about whether or not they are going to say “I do” to each other. But here’s the catch they can’t tell their significant other about their decision until they are at the altar in front of all their relatives and friends. Really? Say it with me u noe u want to...really?

The show from here now dissolves into this big holapalooza having to do with the fact that this bride’s family doesn’t want her to marry to her groom. And the groom’s family is opposed to him marrying the bride; but without a doubt in every episode both families ALWAYS without fail agree that they are not ready to be married. Most of these couples have been together for 2-5 years and as far as I am concerned if you don’t know if u want to marry that person after being with them for that long then you should just break up. May be a bit pessimistic but hey....

DRAMA, DRAMA, DRAMA.....So this most recent episode the boyfriend lived at home with his family and has been with his girlfriend for a year and a half. They get the invitation to the wedding and they tell their families and nobody is happy. Of course it wouldn’t be much of a reality TV show if somebody didn’t want to shoot someone else. The grooms mother threatens to have herself committed...(ok?? Crazy....I’m thinking be my guest...) and chews out the bride. The guy just sits there and doesn’t do a damn thing, in defence of his girlfriend. Prick! Now the brides mother (the father is absent as are many father’s nowadays) is more supportive, don’t get me wrong she’s not happy with the situation but she sees that her daughter is in love and decides to give her the benefit of the doubt. But to make a long and now uninteresting story short, the guy decides to not marry the gf and remain living at home with his parents and his bird. Now that's a recipe for an excitin life....Lol...:-)

Whatever happened to the days where people actually seriously considered marriage, and respected it as a union between people who loved each other. God forbid people nowadays accept the fact that marriage was and still is mind you an arrangement set up by God; I swear pigs would fly...

Honestly, reality TV?

The tele is going to the dogs...;-)
